Transform analytics and planning
Bring generative AI and large language models to SAP Analytics Cloud
Featured Highlights
NLQ powered by generative AI
The just ask feature is the new natural language query (NLQ) feature of SAP Analytics Cloud. It is powered by generative artificial intelligence (AI). Users access the feature directly from their home page to query acquired data models or SAP Datasphere models. Key strengths that enhance answer accuracy and consistency, surpassing existing search-driven solutions, include:
- Name entity recognition (NER) categorizing text as known entities
- Word embeddings and inferring word similarities based on meaning
- Definition of synonyms for metadata and master data
- Incorporation of user’s intent in rules
Flexible data modeling
- New data-first approach to modeling that lets users focus on the data while a model is built automatically
- New option to perform data wrangling independently from the data-import process
- Modeling of planning models that includes dimensions without master data
Measure disaggregation
New properties are available on measures to spread data entry in reference to another measure. Amount disaggregation used to always happen based on the aggregation type of the measure and the data state, SAP Analytics Cloud users can now choose the disaggregation type and control its scope. Two modes are available:
- Total distribution – disaggregates total value entered
- Delta distribution – disaggregates delta to the total value entered
Event synchronization with Microsoft calendars
To simplify the tracking of planning actions, users can now automate the synchronization of SAP Analytics Cloud calendar events in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook calendars. Event owners setup the synchronization and subsequent event changes are automatically replicated to Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook calendars.
New formula editor
The creation of calculated measures in data analyzer is simplified with a new formula editor. All calculated measures are available to perform ad-hoc analysis in data analyzer charts and tables. The initial version of the new formula editor supports the following functions and operators:
- Functions: ABS, EXP, SQRT, GrandTotal, %GrandTotal, MOD, and POWER
- Arithmetic operators: +, -, *, /, and **
- Boolean operators: AND, OR, =, !=, <, >, <=, and >=
